For choosing a tribute |
|
Choosing a tribute for your loved one can be
difficult, as there are such a wide choice of styles
and designs to choose from. Having had over 20 years
experience as florists we would like to share some
of our thoughts with you. |
| |
|
What to send |
This generally depends on your relationship with the
deceased. For a family member, you may want to
choose a larger tribute, such as a heart or cushion
or double ended spray that you can perhaps
personalise by adding a name on ribbon or something
that reminds you of them.
Less formal tributes for friends, neighbours and
work colleagues could be a tied sheaf, posy or
spray, all of which can be made in a colour
combination and flowers of your choice.
Sometimes families will send one large tribute
between them, each writing their individual cards to
be placed within it. We also have a lot of
experience with one-off designs, over the years we
have created football badges, wheelbarrows, dumper
trucks and hand bags amongst others, as well as
adding fairy lights, screwdrivers, rubber ducks and
paintbrushes into designs.
There is nothing that we haven’t been able to do (so
far) and we will always try to include specific
flowers where ever possible. |

|
What to say |
| This is a
question we are often asked, popular expressions are
‘With Deepest Sympathy’ ‘Rest in Peace’ ‘Fondest
Memories’ ‘God Bless’ and ‘Sadly Missed’ It is usual
to address the card to the person who has died, and
don’t forget to put your own names on it, so that
the family knows who the flowers are from. |

|
Where do the flowers go? |
|
Flowers can be delivered either to the house where
the funeral is leaving from, or the funeral
directors. We don’t normally deliver directly to
crematoriums, as there is generally nobody to take
responsibility for the flowers there. |

We hope that these few words have given you some
guidance and confidence in ordering your flowers. If
you wish to contact us to discuss your order in
detail then please feel free to do so.
